A Nothing Day

Sometimes... ok at least once to twice a week I give myself a NOTHING day.
I clean, cook, and take care of kids all the time.
Often times it get ANNOYING
Same messes
same food
same clothing to wash
You know just the same thing EVERYDAY.
Yes it gets annoying lol
My remedy?
A nothing day.
I still cook,
feed my chillns and hubby's mouths.
BUT I give myself a break from cleaning.
Well from making my house look clean.
Like today I cleaned the kitchen up after breakfast,
that's about all the I've done today.
I've watched two movies (both lame and wish I had known before I watched them.)
And I got caught up on my Kardashians.
Oh how I love the Kardashians,
they remind me of my sisters!
Then I swam in the pool with Landon while Audrey and Carson took a nap.
After the pool Landon and I watch funny baby Youtube vids.
I would say a nice relaxing,
good day!
Yes I need days like this to keep me sane.
This is the closest thing I have to a day off.
I will now go make dinner...then do nothing again.
Yes I love days like today! :)
Tomorrow will be back to the daily grind....good thing my kids are funny.
They are often times the only thing that is different.
You never know what they are going to say or do in a day. haha
Oh Ya and tomorrow is our Stake Blood Drive...
I hear you get a pint of BaskinRobbins ice cream for the pint of blood you give up!
I mean how can I pass that up??
I can't.
So this is the first time I will be giving blood EVER in my entire life....because I get ice cream haha

Italian Cheesy Bread!

My friend Robyn made this bread one time and we both like it,
but knew it could be better!
I added my own little twists to it and it turned out.... Ummmmm
Delicious!!
It's especially nice that it's a relatively quick bread to make since it doesn't rise.
Here it is you just have to make it with your next Italian Meal!

Italian Cheesy Bread

Ingredients

1 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F to 115 degrees F)
1 1/2 tablespoons shortening
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3-4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Optional:
Butter, and Garlic salt.

Directions

In a 2 cup measuring cup, dissolve yeast in hot water about 5 mins. In a mixing bowl ( kitchen aid bowl) Mix the shortening, sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and 2 cups flour. After mixed together turn the Kitchen Aid to lvl 2 and slowly add the water yeast mixture. Mix until smooth (lvl 2-4 on the Kitchen Aid). Then mix in the cheeses. Now mix in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. DO NOT LET RISE. Place onto a greased baking sheet. With your hands push dough out to be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick.DO NOT LET RISE. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until golden. Pull out of then oven and slather some butter and top with garlic salt.

Please do enjoy!!

Emotions....

Seems like lately I have been all over the place with my emotions.
I miss my family a lot,
missing them makes me sad.
Then I get angry with Hubby... he not being able to fill the hole of my family.
It's really not fair to him,
unfortunately he's the only person I vent my frustrations to.
I found myself crying last night,
and let me tell you I hate to cry.
I am not a crier at all.
I blamed my all my sadness and frustrations on Hubby,
which again isn't fair.
I mean I wasn't just crying for my family
I was upset with some things Bret has done...or not doing. haha
Upset with myself for what I am and not doing as well.
Bret came home for lunch today knowing I was still upset from last night.
As always he has to pry what I'm really feeling out of me.
I was refusing to talk to him,
then finally I let it all out.
I feel so much better now it's all out.
Yes I miss my family still
Yes life isn't easy
Yes I struggle to even want to get out of bed sometimes.
Yes life isn't magically going to get better anytime soon.
But I can change my attitude.
I wrote a song just recently to help pick myself up.
I'm glad I wrote it,
I feel better when I do play and sing the words that are really just for me.
Music always helps me.
Mindy Gledhill I think was my savior today as well. haha
Her Anchor album is just so happy.
You can't feel sad when you listen to it,
thank heavens for uplifting music!
I'm listening to her now with a smile on my face.
Landon even asked me "mom does this music make you happy?"
Yes Landon it does.
I want to be a good mom and wife,
often times I feel I'm failing.
Whether I am failing or not I do know I few things for sure
I know my children love me
I know my Hubby loves me
I know my family loves me
I have wonderful friends who love me as well.
I am so grateful to have such amazing people in my life helping me along.
I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life,
thankful for forgiveness
mercy
peace
love
all that comes along with having the gospel in my life.
Especially knowing there is a true and loving Savior watching out for me,
and helping me along.

Any Ladies Like to Ummmm Fish??

Bret came home yesterday telling me he heard a new country that...
reminds him of me.
I was intrigued....hoping it was a good song,
maybe a love song?
This might be tmi or maybe even a little inappropriate but I laughed so hard when I listened to the song!
I just had to share this!
Here it is...and I guess Bret counts himself lucky lol

New Post...What to Post??

I feel like I need to post something.
It's been pretty uneventful  around here this week...
Other than the, cleaning, feeding, cleaning, oh ya and some more cleaning and feeding the hungry mouths around me! lol
I did make a trip to the DMV that's always so lovely...so many things to see there,
and the wait is always so gloriously long!
I didn't have time to make an appt which meant I sat in a chair for 2 hours....ugh
BUT this time I went with a good friend,
so the conversation was good....which made the time go by faster!!
We enjoyed conversating on the clothing that was worn around us,
and what certain people looked like....it was fun lol.

Oh we watched Rio this week,
OK good movie!
I love the soundtrack....
I had to download it and add it to my playlist!
Fly Love by Jamie Fox....I totally love that song!
Now you go listen to it, and tell me what you think.
You better love it...just sayin :)

I think the highlight to my days lately have been:
Listening to Carson talk his talk,
and walk his walk.
(That kid gets kissed all day long.
I think I'm lucky he doesn't mind me kissing him so much! haha)
Watching Landon play with his G.I. Joes.
(He recently found his lost G.I. Joes.
Apparently stuffed animals and G.I. Joes play really well together.)
Audrey and Landon playing their forts.
(They are finally playing well together... it's just taken almost all summer to get to this point.)

You want to know my least favorite thing right now?
Listening to Carson screaming!
I think I might just go crazy...
I really need to do something about his screeching scream! lol

What about you?
What is the highlight to your days???
And your least favorite thing??
