A Birthday Cake.

I am very fortunate to live around good friends.
My friend has a cake decorating business called
Busy B's Cakes.
This friend offered to help me decorate Landon and Audrey's birthday cake.
I am sooo happy she did!
I got to learn how to a put a cake together.
Which was like playing with playdoh....I felt like a kid again. lol
My friend really helped me out a lot....she is so wonderful.
There is no way I could have done this without her!
And here is the cake!

A Frankenstein Halloween Cake! lol
Landon and Audrey both decided what this cake was going to be,
and I love how it turned out!
It got a bit smashed in transit which was all my fault,
but I still loved it....(even though I ate cake for days and days and gained 5lbs.) haha
It was so fun to do, and I can't wait until Carson's bday,
so I can make his cake!

Luckiness

Remember when I went to Utah just recently?
You know for my sisters wedding?
Ok well on that plane ride I sat next to....
a professional song writer.
We started talking and
 can I say this person
is the best person ....I have ever sat next to on an airplane....
hands down!
I think was it fate?
Out of all the seats and people on this plane
I just happen to sit next to a professional song writer??
I don't know if it was fate or not,
but I do feel so lucky to have met this person.
It is a dream for me to work with a professional,
and write a song.
I am having that chance right now!
This person has turned my idea into something I could only wish to do.
I do not have any professional training,
I have not gone to college,
and only a hand full of months of piano lessons when I was 10.
I am so limited to what I can create on my own.
Working with someone who has all the training I don't have is
so AMAZING.
This person makes me want to get serious about song writing.
I enjoy it as my hobby.
I don't know,
but maybe one day I will actually record a song or an album!

Kandee Johnson

Here is just a quick shout out to Kandee Johnson she is an amazing makeup artist.
You know the Urban Decay "Naked" palette I was just raving about?
Well Kandee has a few tutorials on how to use that palette.
She shows you how to put on makeup,
what makeup to buy,
from foundation to eye shadow and much more.
She is so informative I love her.
If you don't know how to put makeup on,
what to use,
or how to use it.
Go learn from Kandee Here!
She has so many different tutorials
from get ready quick to....
how to do the Kim Kardashian look.

I actually have fun getting ready again!
I can't wait to see what I am going to do today!
Seriously fun :D

New MakeUp!!

Did you know I have the best mom and sisters in the whole world?
Well I do...in my opinion. :)
These wonderful people knew I needed new makeup.
They surprised me with BEAUTIFUL makeup!
Urban Decay's "Naked" palette is amazing!
They are such beautiful colors and they go on so smooth and light.
I can not say anything negative about this palette.
It is completely worth the price you pay!
It costs about $50.
I know that seems high...BUT it's really not for what you get.
12 colors, eye primer, and a really good brush.
AND this will last you for at least a year OR
way longer if you don't wear makeup everyday.
MAC makeup is another really good makeup brand,
but each color costs about $14 a color.
So this Urban Decay palette is really a good buy.
I'm telling you EVERY woman should have this palette!

Anyway my wonderful people also got me some:
lipstick
lip liner
eyeliner
blush
And brushes.
I cried when I saw everything they got me.
I am truly thankful for such sweet amazing mom and sisters....
who love me, and treat me so good.
Thank you Again!

Airport Pick Up

When I went up to Utah for my sister Ashley's sealing.
My whole family picked me and my sister Kat  up at the airport.
Picking me up from the airport... mind you was sooo funny,
because 2 of my sisters dressed up as homeless people.
Yes I said HOMELESS people.
They stood in a corner of the airport next to the doors.
My dad suggested I go and give the "homeless" people some money.
I was hesitant because from the back they looked really iffy lol.
Then I realized two of my sisters were missing.
I walked over to these "homeless" people and sure enough they were my sisters! lol
It was hilarious to say the least.
People were staring all around us.
Yes that is my family,
making a scene wherever we go.
One of the reasons why I love them so much!
There is NEver a dull moment.
This Utah trip was just what I needed.
It was the first trip I have ever taken with NO children or child.
I was all by myself for a full 3 days.
I missed my chillens terribly,
at the same time it was glorious to not have to
feed,
 clean,
and just plain take care of anyone
BUT myself.
I can tell you I have been a better mother and wife since I've been back.
It's good to get away.

Here is my sister Kat
She is beatiful, smart annnnddd
CRAZY FUNNY!!!
You should be jealous.
Kitty Kat is here spending time with me,
and I love that she is here!!
She makes me laugh until I cry and my stomach hurts on a daily basis.
She is leaving me next week and I know I'm going to be sad.
But I'm completely and utterly enjoying her while she is here.
And again you should be jealous.
She is mine and you can never have her! lol
I love this girl to death.

Another Day at the Beach

The beach is an amazing place,
It's so relaxingly wondering....yes realaxingly,
The kids and I were so excited to be goiong....hubby was being a little grumpy about it.
He had a ton of work to get done,
and knew if he came he would have have TONS of work to do today (which is Monday)
But in the end he decided to make the kids and I happy
so he came too.
He and I were soooo glad he came.
We ended up having an amazing time there with our friends.
I couldn't as for a better day.
The sun was shining,
there was a perfect breeze,
and the kids were in heaven.
SEE!

None of us wanted to go,
but the sun was going down,
it started to get cold,
and we were hungry.
Finally we had to say goodbye.
Hopefully we will get to go again before it gets too cold.
I could really live there.

Empty Stomach

Yesterday Hubby and I invited some friends over to our house to watch some football and eat together.
I knew this day had been coming for quite awhile.
However by the time we got home from church I was exhausted from not getting good sleep for several nights.
And I was extremely hungry because I didn't get a very good breakfast before church.
When I walked through the door I saw the mess that was there,
and the whinny hungry children and thought I just can't do this today.
I started being grumpy right away....I mean really grumpy.
Poor Hubby was trying his best to help get the house in order.
No matter what he it didn't help me.
I proceeded to tell him.... to tell our friends to not come over.
However even after he did tell our friends not to come over I still was extremely grumpy.
I may have even shed a tear or two.
I finally decided to eat which was at about 1:30 pm.
It's amazing what food can do for me.
Right after eating...about 90% of my grumpiness was gone.
My friends were then allowed to come over,
I needed food.
An empty stomach doesn't work well with me.
The majority of my grumpiness was about me being hungry?
Yes it is true.
I need to eat.
You don't want to see me really really hungry,
it doesn't look pretty at all. lol

Oh yes and hop on over to my food blog for a yummy recipe from dinner last night!

These Days....

As much as I love my little two year old Mr. John Carson he has been driving me crazy!
Between the fits and the messes I think I might just pull my hair out.
He has been playing the
File:Spilt milk.jpg
spill the milk game.
He's constantly trying to pour his own cups of milk.
I just bought a gallon of milk yesterday morning and it's already more than half way gone,
thanks to this little terror!

Oh he might look all innocent,
but do you see that marker on his face??
Today I was cleaning up the much of a mess kitchen,
I didn't clean the kitchen yesterday thanks to a cold and migraine,
so today it was Much of a mess kitchen.
Meanwhile my little terror decided to color with a marker on the floor and wall!
Seems like he has been an extra extra terror this past week.
Sometimes I can laugh at his messes and his terroriness
(Yes I made terroriness up haha.)
Other times I get upset,
and then there are times I just want to cry!
I just can't seem to keep up with this kid when I'm sick.
What am I going to do when I get pregnant and get REALLY sick??!
I think it might just be the challenge of my life lol.
Good thing he loves to love me and that I love him so much!

Weezer Weezer Weezer!!!

I actually went to a Weezer concert!

I don't know about you,
BUT Weezer is one of my TOP I mean TOP favorite bands of alllll time.
I don't think I can express to you how exciting the concert was  and is to me!
So here is the story in full detail....bare with me please :)

Hubby informed me one evening he wanted to take me to a concert.
You have to understand.....this isn't normal for Hubby.
I was quite impressed with him for even mentioning it!
He then asked me if it was ok to buy the tickets.
I was of course completely ok with this decision of his.
He also asked me if I wanted it to be a surprise,
I love surprises so I said yes...please!!
He tried all his might to keep it a surprise for me....I'm not the nosy type so I didn't think it would be a problem.
Then one day I was checking Hubby and I's joint email account like I do every few days...
and a friend of ours who thought she was JUST sending Hubby a message to his FB account and of course  this email account was sent a notification message from FB.
And I clicked open the email and read the question she was posing!!
The concert that was supposed to be a surprise wasn't any longer.
At first I was kind of upset I found out...but then I soon got excited to pick out my outfit and of course start refreshing up on my Weezer songs!
Finally the day came...oh my I was so excited.
Mostly because I was getting a much needed date with my hubby,
and break from my chillins!

From the first song I was completely taken back to my teenage years.
They opened with The Sweater Song  fyi
OH it was so cool!
They played all their best hits....which of course I knew all of them by heart....except for a few.
The people in front of Hubby and I kept looking back at me...Like would she stop singing!
I couldn't help it I sang all the words I knew and I was in complete HEAVEN!!
THEN the coolest thing happned EVER...I mean EVER
Rivers Cuomo aka lead singer of Weezer came down into the CROWD!
Not once but TWICE!
Here is a pic to prove it

I know you can't see him very well....but it's him in the crowd!

I can't even tell you how cool I thought this was and is.
Among all the concerts I have been to .... I have never EVER seen the lead singer or any member of the band actually come down into the crowd!!!!!
Ok I have to tell you  and this is the coolest and lamest thing on my part....I give you permission to laugh at me.  lol
The 2nd time Rivers Cuomo came down into the crowd I ran down out of me seat to where he was coming.....followed his movments for a few minutes.....I knew he had to come my way at some point and positioned myself where he would be coming.....
AND he came RIGHT next to me!
I mean I was RIGHT next to him.... he was just maybe 1 whole inch away from me!!!!
I got nervous and didn't know what to do.
I mean he was singing and had the microphone in his hand.....
So I touched his arm!
I mean what else was I supposed to do???
I didn't have my phone with me to take a pic...I know so lame...right?
OH well.
But Yes I have touched Rivers Cuomo's arm and seen his face right up close and personal.
After I touched him I felt I invaded his bubble, but oh well I still touched him and I can say that for the rest of my life lol.
I then ran back to my seat and sat next to my Hubby who thought I was so cool for doing what I had just done! lol
I love my Hubby for knowing me sooo well,
for buying tickets to see Weezer,
 letting me be ME,
and thinking I'm cool for running down to touch Rivers Cuomo's arm! lol
I am a lucky lady.
That concert was the BEST concert I have EVER been to.
I still have a high from that concert a full 24 hours later.
Yes I recommend going and I would love to go again.
Here are a couple of pics of Hubby and I at the concert.

THE END haha

A Nothing Day

Sometimes... ok at least once to twice a week I give myself a NOTHING day.
I clean, cook, and take care of kids all the time.
Often times it get ANNOYING
Same messes
same food
same clothing to wash
You know just the same thing EVERYDAY.
Yes it gets annoying lol
My remedy?
A nothing day.
I still cook,
feed my chillns and hubby's mouths.
BUT I give myself a break from cleaning.
Well from making my house look clean.
Like today I cleaned the kitchen up after breakfast,
that's about all the I've done today.
I've watched two movies (both lame and wish I had known before I watched them.)
And I got caught up on my Kardashians.
Oh how I love the Kardashians,
they remind me of my sisters!
Then I swam in the pool with Landon while Audrey and Carson took a nap.
After the pool Landon and I watch funny baby Youtube vids.
I would say a nice relaxing,
good day!
Yes I need days like this to keep me sane.
This is the closest thing I have to a day off.
I will now go make dinner...then do nothing again.
Yes I love days like today! :)
Tomorrow will be back to the daily grind....good thing my kids are funny.
They are often times the only thing that is different.
You never know what they are going to say or do in a day. haha
Oh Ya and tomorrow is our Stake Blood Drive...
I hear you get a pint of BaskinRobbins ice cream for the pint of blood you give up!
I mean how can I pass that up??
I can't.
So this is the first time I will be giving blood EVER in my entire life....because I get ice cream haha

Italian Cheesy Bread!

My friend Robyn made this bread one time and we both like it,
but knew it could be better!
I added my own little twists to it and it turned out.... Ummmmm
Delicious!!
It's especially nice that it's a relatively quick bread to make since it doesn't rise.
Here it is you just have to make it with your next Italian Meal!

Italian Cheesy Bread

Ingredients

1 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F to 115 degrees F)
1 1/2 tablespoons shortening
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3-4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Optional:
Butter, and Garlic salt.

Directions

In a 2 cup measuring cup, dissolve yeast in hot water about 5 mins. In a mixing bowl ( kitchen aid bowl) Mix the shortening, sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and 2 cups flour. After mixed together turn the Kitchen Aid to lvl 2 and slowly add the water yeast mixture. Mix until smooth (lvl 2-4 on the Kitchen Aid). Then mix in the cheeses. Now mix in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. DO NOT LET RISE. Place onto a greased baking sheet. With your hands push dough out to be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick.DO NOT LET RISE. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until golden. Pull out of then oven and slather some butter and top with garlic salt.

Please do enjoy!!

Emotions....

Seems like lately I have been all over the place with my emotions.
I miss my family a lot,
missing them makes me sad.
Then I get angry with Hubby... he not being able to fill the hole of my family.
It's really not fair to him,
unfortunately he's the only person I vent my frustrations to.
I found myself crying last night,
and let me tell you I hate to cry.
I am not a crier at all.
I blamed my all my sadness and frustrations on Hubby,
which again isn't fair.
I mean I wasn't just crying for my family
I was upset with some things Bret has done...or not doing. haha
Upset with myself for what I am and not doing as well.
Bret came home for lunch today knowing I was still upset from last night.
As always he has to pry what I'm really feeling out of me.
I was refusing to talk to him,
then finally I let it all out.
I feel so much better now it's all out.
Yes I miss my family still
Yes life isn't easy
Yes I struggle to even want to get out of bed sometimes.
Yes life isn't magically going to get better anytime soon.
But I can change my attitude.
I wrote a song just recently to help pick myself up.
I'm glad I wrote it,
I feel better when I do play and sing the words that are really just for me.
Music always helps me.
Mindy Gledhill I think was my savior today as well. haha
Her Anchor album is just so happy.
You can't feel sad when you listen to it,
thank heavens for uplifting music!
I'm listening to her now with a smile on my face.
Landon even asked me "mom does this music make you happy?"
Yes Landon it does.
I want to be a good mom and wife,
often times I feel I'm failing.
Whether I am failing or not I do know I few things for sure
I know my children love me
I know my Hubby loves me
I know my family loves me
I have wonderful friends who love me as well.
I am so grateful to have such amazing people in my life helping me along.
I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life,
thankful for forgiveness
mercy
peace
love
all that comes along with having the gospel in my life.
Especially knowing there is a true and loving Savior watching out for me,
and helping me along.

Any Ladies Like to Ummmm Fish??

Bret came home yesterday telling me he heard a new country that...
reminds him of me.
I was intrigued....hoping it was a good song,
maybe a love song?
This might be tmi or maybe even a little inappropriate but I laughed so hard when I listened to the song!
I just had to share this!
Here it is...and I guess Bret counts himself lucky lol

New Post...What to Post??

I feel like I need to post something.
It's been pretty uneventful  around here this week...
Other than the, cleaning, feeding, cleaning, oh ya and some more cleaning and feeding the hungry mouths around me! lol
I did make a trip to the DMV that's always so lovely...so many things to see there,
and the wait is always so gloriously long!
I didn't have time to make an appt which meant I sat in a chair for 2 hours....ugh
BUT this time I went with a good friend,
so the conversation was good....which made the time go by faster!!
We enjoyed conversating on the clothing that was worn around us,
and what certain people looked like....it was fun lol.

Oh we watched Rio this week,
OK good movie!
I love the soundtrack....
I had to download it and add it to my playlist!
Fly Love by Jamie Fox....I totally love that song!
Now you go listen to it, and tell me what you think.
You better love it...just sayin :)

I think the highlight to my days lately have been:
Listening to Carson talk his talk,
and walk his walk.
(That kid gets kissed all day long.
I think I'm lucky he doesn't mind me kissing him so much! haha)
Watching Landon play with his G.I. Joes.
(He recently found his lost G.I. Joes.
Apparently stuffed animals and G.I. Joes play really well together.)
Audrey and Landon playing their forts.
(They are finally playing well together... it's just taken almost all summer to get to this point.)

You want to know my least favorite thing right now?
Listening to Carson screaming!
I think I might just go crazy...
I really need to do something about his screeching scream! lol

What about you?
What is the highlight to your days???
And your least favorite thing??

Day At The Beach

We finally made to the beach this year!
To be honest I don't even think we went to the beach last year....I know it's pretty ridiculous!
This summer I think I told my chillins 3 0r 4 different times we were going to the beach,
then hubby would have to  work.
And my chillins would start crying....hysterically!
Hubby would leave at that point for me to console the poor little chillns.
Oh the world can be so cruel to little chillins who just want to go to the beach!
Yesterday was finally the lucky day!
We packed up and headed out.
I'm pretty sure the whole way Landon asked "are we there yet?" or rather " I'm so bored, when are we going to be at the beach?!"
He eventually was told "if you ask that question or say you are bored again...we are going to leave you in the car, you won't be going anywhere near the water."
Hubby and I are kinda mean like that....but it did work. lol
We arrived in Dana Point and found the beach we wanted to go to.
And had a ton of fun!
I really don't know why we don't go... like all the time!
It was so easy, the kids were little angels, and Hubby LOVES the water.
We are lame, but I think we won't be so lame anymore.
Beach trips will definitely be apart of our lives more often!!
Here are some pics of our little trip...

Here is our sand castle Bret and I worked so hard on.
I went to get the the camera (aka my phone) to take a pic,
when I go back Carson was destroying it!
And hubby and the other kids were gone off like this..

I can't believe they left Carson by himself... lol
oh well everything turned out fine.
I'm really just sorry you don't get to see our sand castle in all it's glory...it was pretty awesome!
Here Carson wanted to be in another family.....or maybe he wanted to mash their sand castle!!!

Audrey and Landon loved the waves....Carson however didn't like the water at all...he's our cautious one...if you can believe that. lol
All my kids are crazy...or just have LOTS of energy! lol
Look how happy Hubby is!  It's like he's shouting HOORAY for going to the beach!! lol

Carson just chillin in my chair.
 Oh aren't we cute??
Then it was everyone's turn to get buried in the sand...which is a must when you go to the beach.

I just got my feet buried this time... maybe next time I'll get my whole body buried...yes I think I will!
Yep it was a good, good day.

Pillows Anyone??

Since we got the new couches I had to go get pillows to make them more alive.
OR make me feel more alive... whatever I needed these new pillows.
I went to Pier 1  to find them,
but Pier1 just didn't have any pillow that spoke to me.
I did have a $10 off coupon so I bought these...
Basically they were free since I had that coupon.
So cheers to Pier 1 for awesome coupons!
I headed over to Marshall's and found these..
Can you say love at first sight???
Yes I fell in love with these pillows!
They make me smile...I think decorative pillows should make you smile. :D
So I had to buy them!
Bret and he hates them.
But I don't care...I love them and they are staying!!
I am going to make couple more pillows in gold or yellow...or maybe even zebra to go on the couches too.
I'll show you the pics when they are complete.
But remember your pillows should make you smile lol

Sometimes Someone Does Something For You, You Can't Believe!

Saturday me and my little family came home from our Pioneer celebration.
I few minutes later our our friends came over with a pretty awesome surprise!
These...

A leather couch and loveseat!!
Can you believe it??!!!!
I couldn't!!  I still can't!!
Every time I walk in my living room I'm still shocked lol
We did have a couch before these....
but a certain someone sat down on it recently....
and kind of broke it lol.
It wasn't sooo broken we couldn't use it,
but it was  getting uncomfortable lol.
Soooo....
You see I took care of my friend's children while she was in the hospital.
She was in the HOSPITAL,
of course I am going to watch her kids!
I did it out of kindness....NOT to get something out of it!
She and her husband were soooo grateful,
They bought us couches??
Yes they did.
I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life.
Friends that feel more like family.

Children's Books

I recently purchased two of my favorite children's books.
These two books I remember from my own childhood!
They are...
(This book has the most a beautiful illustrations EVER!
When I read this book to Audrey,
it completely brought me back to when I was a little girl!
It was such a surreal moment!)
and...
I didn't realize they were from the same author until they arrived!
Kinda a coincidence I guess haha
Audrey has fallen in love with these books,
just like I did when I was her age!
She loves how the author's name is Audrey.
I think she thinks... she is Audrey Wood. lol
She asked me the other night
 "Mom what's my other name?"
I was curious on what she meant.
I asked "you mean your middle name, Marie?"
"no."
"Your last name Mitchell??"
"No,
"MY OTHER name..."
"Wood???"
"Yep that's it."
lol
I just love this little girl to death!
Anyway I love these books and I am sooo happy to have them.
They literally make me all giddy inside when I read them! lol

What are some of your favorite children's books?
I am trying to build up my little library!

Migraines...Boo

Ever feel like this?
or like this?
This how I've been for the last 3-4 days!
Migraines totally put me out.
I can barely get out of bed and take care of my kids.
So my house starts to look like this...
Ok not nearly that messy....(yes I got this pic from google images.)
Oh and I love how I put in a search for dirty kitchens and.... naked lady sitting on a kitchen sink pops up!
Because naked porn on the kitchen sink is soooo hot??? lol
I'll spare you from that image...it's still disturbing me haha
Anyway migraines are the bane of my existence!
Nothing helps the pain....so lay lay around with a pounding head and nausea.
Luckily I have a husband who's office is at his parents house,
so he can take Landon or Audrey with him to work....
and sometimes both of them if I'm really really lucky!
No I'm not pregnant. lol
I wouldn't be complaining about being sick if I was!
At least when I'm preggers sick there is a reason to it....
Otherwise sickness it just soooo lame.
I'm feeling a lot better today...thank heavens.
I even worked out!
The workout I tried seemed easy while I was doing it,
but now I'm completely exhausted.
Cheers to getting back into working out! haha

Classics

When I was growing up my mama introduced my sisters and I to classic movies.
From Audrey Hepburn to Doris Day to Carey Grant.
I remember I just wanted to be just like them.
Carey Grant was a dream!
She showed us all her favorite musicals too and I fell in love with them!
BUT there is one movie that stands out to me above the rest and that movie is...
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
it's one of my absolute favorite movies of all time!
I have seen many musicals,
usually there is a part in the movie I want to fast forward ,
because it has come kind of weird dancing scene haha
....except for
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
I can sit watch the whole thing without pressing the fast forward button!
I remember I wanting to be Alice but marry Benjamin...not Gideon. haha
My sisters and I would  pretend we were them,
We would  dance and sing all our favorite songs.
"For they say when you are married in June...you will always be a bride...."
Recently I sat Audrey down and told her there is a movie I want her to watch.
A movies my mama showed me and I now I want to show you that movie.
She got all excited...and I was all excited!
I started the movie....
She sat for a minute....
then decided she didn't want to watch it!
I tried to get her to come back....I said "come here this is one of my favorite songs!"
She replied "BUT MOM it's NOT one of MY favorite SONGS!" lol
I guess she is still to young to get it.
I hope one day she will like the old classics like I do.
I hope one day we will rent a whole days worth of old movies
and sit with our popcorn, candy, maybe some oranges.
And be completely enthralled in another day in time,
like I did back in the day with my mom and sisters.
Those are some of my best memories!

What a Bust of a Day!

Yesterday was of course the 4th of July.
I have to say for us the little Mitchell family is was the sorriest 4th of July EVER!!!
Carson has a bad cough and runny nose
and Audrey had the stomach flu.
Of all days to be sick....the 4th is one of the WORST!
We had lots of plans,
but had to cancel them all to stay home and have a day of sickness.
BOOO!
Bret and I did bbq which is a 4th of July must.
The kids got to play in our little kiddy pool in the back.
OH OH AND
we saw this in our back yard
I know I know not so spectacular pretty sorry actually,
BUT at least the kids got to see some kind of fireworks.
There were actually a lot of illegal fireworks going off in our neighbor hood.
It was kind of exciting!
Landon, Audrey and I stood in our back yard being  patient....
Because Landon told me "mom you have to be VERY patient." lol
About every 5 minutes we would see some kind of fireworks up in the sky.
The kids would ooo and ahhh at them,
at one point I heard Audrey whisper
"oh a bottle rocket" in amazement. haha
Next year I hope the kids are NOT sick so they can see spectacular fireworks!
Then it was time for bed.
Audrey threw up one more time then was fast to sleep.
Poor little girl. :(

And then Landon asked me why we celebrate the 4th of July.
I got to explain it to him.... and thought it was pretty cool.
Because he's a boy and boys think war is AWESOME. haha
I am truly grateful to live here in America and have all the freedoms I have.
Thanks to the men and women who have sacrifice their lives in order for me to have this freedom!

Little Miss Audrey and Mr. Carson's Adventures

I woke up this morning to this....

If you can't tell the brown stuff is chocolate syrup! haha
Well actually I woke up to Mr. Carson in my face...his face covered in chocolate.
I turned to Bret and told him I was scared to go look and see what the kitchen looked like!
And then I saw Mr. Carson's jeep in chocolate haha
The mess wasn't as bad as I was expecting...THANK heavens!
I don't know about you but cleaning isn't how I like to start my day.
Mr. Carson has been an absolute terror as of late.
Yesterday he smashed every last egg we had on the kitchen floor.
I was relieved to see the chocolate syrup was such a small mess. lol
Oh the terrible 2's are sooo cute and soooo soooo darn MESSY!
He sure is lucky I love his sooo much!
He wouldn't stay still so you get a profile pic haha

Just over a week ago I looked over at Audrey and saw this...

She cut her hair again...if you can't tell.
It took 7 months for her hair to grow back after her last hair cut
and he decided to do it again! lol
She told me she went into the garage
and cut her bangs because he didn't want them anymore!
She never said a word to me about this.
I could have told her that's not how you get your bangs to go away!
BUT.....
At least this hair cut isn't as bad as the last.

And she is still the cutest little girl in the world...well I think so! :)
