Carbnite week 8

I know I'm a day late in writing this post,
but I've been super busy lately with house projects!
I'll be blogging about them as soon as I'm done with them.

So good news I'm down 1 1/2 lbs as of today.
That makes 12 1/2 lbs in 8 weeks!
Hopefully I'll be down another 1/2 a lb by tomorrow.
I'd be ecstatic to be down 2 lbs in one week!
Fingers crossed.
I have to say this week the diet has been really easy for me.
It's becoming a lot more of a way of life,
instead of a weight-loss diet.
Which is good!
And carbnites are always fun.
My carbnite is tomorrow and I'm so excited for it!
There is some yummy food on the menu
like
homemade spaghetti and meatballs,
chocolate rice crispy treats,
and apple turnovers.
Oh it's gonna be good!
Cheers to a good week.

Author Amy Harmon

I just finished reading this wonderful book.

This book pulled me in immediately.
A trouble girl,
a hot British history teacher with the of name Darcy Wilson.
(he's like the less conceded, even nice version of Mr. Darcy,
whom we all love...right?!)
Wilson takes this girl "Blue" under his wing,
and tries to steer her to different choices.
This is a heart breaking,
but also a heart warming story.
I cried at least 3 times while reading this story.
It felt so real,
and I felt for this girl,
I was rooting for her the whole time.
I wanted her to succeed!
I highly recommend this book.

Amy
really knows how to speak to me.
I've read another book of her's called
Barefoot Running
 I also loved this book.
It inspired me to start listening to classical music again.
Something I did as a child and teenager.
It also inspired me to read
Which I am so glad I did,
it's such a wonderful story.
Much better than any of the movies.

Anyway back to Amy Harmon's books...both of these books have inspired me to be a better person.
Although there is some sadness in both of these stories,
the sadness was well worth it in the end to me.
Go get your read on!

The Carb Nite Solution week 7

Week 7 and I'm down 11 lbs.
I love this diet,
but at times it is so hard!
Like last night when we went to Costco.
After we shopped,
we stopped and got our kids pizza.
Because we are such nice parents haha.
That means my hubby and I,
who adore pizza.... just got to sit and watch our kids eat.
It looked so good,
and smelled even better!
Oh how we wanted to give in and eat that pizza!
But we didn't.
We were a little on edge,
but we didn't eat it haha

The things I have to tell myself when I'm having a hard day:
It's worth it.
You're loosing fat!
3 or 4 months from now you'll be done loosing weight,
and you'll be so thankful you stuck to it!
You're rarely ever hungry.
You get to eat lots of delicious meat and fats.
It's only a few more days until your carbnite,
and you can have any carb you want!
You can do this!

I really am grateful for this diet.
Even though it can be hard.
I really can't complain,
it really is worth the effort I'm putting in.
I am also grateful my hubby is doing this with me.
It's so nice to have a support system!
We complain,
and celebrate together haha.

Carb Nite Soluttion: Weigh in Wednesday #5

The update today is a bit disappointing for me.
I haven't lost any pounds since last Wednesday,
but I still have 2 more days until my carbnite,
which means I still have a chance to loose.
I did however loose inches.
In fact I lost 3 inches!
How I lost inches but not lbs??
I have no idea how that works.
I'll take what I can get,
I guess.
Not seeing the scale go down,
is a bit frustrating!
I haven't cheated,
and I'm doing my best to do everything right.
So when I don't see the scale budge,
it's annoying to say the least.
This diet is a lot of work.
I want to see at least a 1/2 a pound down!
Finger crossed I'll see the numbers go down by Friday.

I also started working out this week.
You're not supposed to do any cardio,
other than walking briskly
 while doing this diet.
(You're not eating enough carbs to do cardio.)
So you can only do resistance training.
I don't have any heavy weights,
bands,
or stuff like that.
I don't want to get a gym pass!
I can't afford another bill at the moment.
And with a baby that has been very sick,
I can't afford to leave him in the gym daycare
(with all those germs).
I don't have time to go to the gym when my hubby is home.
(wow that was a lot of excuses haha)
So my option for right now is to do the Tracy Anderson Method (TAM)
I have her Metamorphosis workout.
I'm not doing the cardio portion,
just the mat work.
It's a 60 day program.
I know my sisters would scoff at my choice haha
(they are big into weight lifting)
But it's my option right now!
It's better than nothing,
at least I'm doing something!!
And it's actually pretty hard.
My legs are like jelly by the end of the workout!
I'm actually excited to see if I get the results I want.
I'll keep you updated on this too,
 while I'm at it.
Lucky you haha

So that is my update this week.
No pounds lost,
but no pounds gained,
  lost 3 inches,
And I started TAM
Until next week!
