A day to do nothing

Today is my nothing day.  I have cleaned, cooked, and worked out two times a day for a the past few days.  But today I woke up and decided I need a break.  The result is my bed isn't cleaned up, there are dishes in the sink and on table, and I didn't workout this morning.  Normally I would be feeling kinda depressed at this point, but I'm not! I'm just enjoying not doing much of anything.  Sometimes it just feels so good to relax!  Don't worry I'm not going to be lazy all day. I am on the verge of cleaning up a bit, then I'm going to take the kids on a walk to my in-laws.  Which is also where my husband Bret works, kinda convenient for us and I love it!  I hope everyone else is having a good day like me!

Fall not Autumn

Fall is my favorite season and as Landon would say "mom it's not autumn it's fall, I don't like the word autumn!." Landon is my funny bright little boy!  He just had his 5th birthday on Nov.2nd. and if you ask him he will say he's bigger because he is 5 now.  Audrey's birthday came first which was on Halloween and if you asked her Halloween was her day and nobody else's!   Anytime Landon brought up Halloween she would say "NO that's my birthday not yours!  My HALLOWEEN! I'm Cinderella on Halloween!" yes she would yell and usually push Landon at the same time...lol that's my feisty little princess.  When her birthday finally came we all had to call her Cinderella.  She was actually very sweet on her birthday and she let Landon join in on her birthday fun!  We all had a fun time trick or treating. :D

Sunday we went over to my in-law's to celebrate Landon and Audrey's birthdays.  We had a yummy dinner and the whole time Ladon was asking "when are we going to open the presents??!" or " are you done yet so we can open up the presents?!" Landon got everything he wanted which was Nerf guns.  Bret, Brock (my 16 year old brother in-law), and Landon played with the guns until it was time to go!  It was really funny watching Bret and Brock they were acting like little boys, they had to much fun!  Audrey got dolls and Cinderella princess tea set. she was also very happy!  

The best present of all was last and what amazing presents they are! Their Nana and Papa were so very wonderful and they got them Hummer H2 ride on cars!  One Yellow and one Pink!  I think I was more excited for them than they were.  needless to say they now have so much fun when we go over to Nana and Papa's house!  

It was a great birthday celebration with family and friends one I'm sure they will never forget!

Google

All I have to say is this...Google is AMAZING!  I would be lost without it at times!

Cleaner

Ok I just had to blog about my two new favorite cleaner products!  First is Cascade all in 1 advanced power dish washing  detergent...it is the only detergent that doesn't leave hard water on my dishes!  They come out completely clean!  Which is huge for me because my dishwasher is not the best...lol



2nd is Lysol 4in1 cleaner it cuts through grease, and disinfects.  I usually am a bleach fan but Bret hates the smell so I bought some Lysol to try it out.  I love it!  And the smell  is great, not too strong at all! Which makes me and Bret happy. :D

3 Dfferent People

I am Taylor, I am Bret's wife, and I am my kids mom,  but most of the time that is not the order that my life follows.  I really think of myself as mom, wife, and then Taylor.  Sometimes when I actually hear my name "Taylor" it sounds foreign to me!  I'm not Taylor anymore I am mom,  plain and simple.  But in reality it's not plain and simple!  Don't get me wrong I love being a mom, but it's not easy.  Easy is not really in my vocabulary.  But I have found out I really need balance, and I know how to give myself the balance I need.  I really do have to take care of me "Taylor" and when I do take care of me, I am a better mother and wife.  My day begins with taking care of children and ends with spending time with my wonderful husband, I find myself somewhere in between.  For example when I workout,  that is just for me and me alone.  I feel so proud of myself and accomplished when I'm done.  Or going to the grocery store all by myself.  I know it might sound lame but I LOVE Super Walmart!  I can go and spend an hour all by myself looking and shopping!  It's something I love to do, I'm alone to my thoughts and what I want to do.  This doesn't happen very often, but when it does I'm in heaven. :p  To be honest I am really enjoying my life lately, all the craziness, and the fun.  Bret has changed I have changed and we are doing good! 

Working out

So I have decided to start working out again. It's been a long time since I really tried to get into shape. Now that I have started working out I feel so great! I have so much more energy that I never had before. Even though I'm still not getting very much sleep, working out gives me the boost I need to get through the day. I really do feel so much better it's amazing what exercise can do! I feel happier, I have more energy, my house is cleaner, and can't wait until morning comes so I workout again. I don't think I have ever really loved to workout EVER. But now I do and I hope it lasts for a long time! Aww good times, good times.

Change for the better

It's been a long time since I last posted anything on my blog but a lot has happened! All things for the better! Carson has just gotten so big and he is just the cutest baby ever! He's crawling around every where and is now furniture surfing. He also calls me mama which I just melt every single time....it's just the sweetest thing ever! Landon is back in pre-school which he loves! and to be honest I love too! Bret takes him to school at 9am which is also Carson's nap time...so that leaves me and Audrey time to just hang out together. She loves having me all too herself and we do something she wants to do....like color together, or we did some pre-school work which she loved.

The big thing that happened was Bret my hubby decided to stop playing computer games which was a huge deal! He loves to play but he just simply spent too much time playing and it took time away from us, our little family. It's been so great! It's been so much fun just to spend so much time together as the two us and also with the kids. Like he said to me yesterday "You know I really love talking to you." I love to talk so this makes me feel great! We really have grown a lot closer and we are a lot more happy! Life is going to good right now I love it!

Poison Study!!

I just finished a book series they are such good books! The first one is Poison Study, 2nd Magical Study, and 3rd Fire Study. My mom gave them to me to read, I started the first on on Monday and I finished the last one, last night which was Thursday. I couldn't put the books down! So when i got up in the morning i cleaned, put dinner in the crock pot and then only stopped to feed the kids and make sure everyone was happy. I totally recommend these books to everyone, they are a good easy read! The author is Maria V. Synder. read them!!

Landon my mitchell, my mitchell, my boy

First of all I am so happy Danya posted on her blog I love to read what she has to say, it always puts a smile on my face!

Landon has been cracking me up lately with his ideas. For example every time I cook he wants to help me, usually tell him no. In my head it's just too much stress for me to have him help because he slows me down and I just want to hurry up and finish! He has come up with a new plan to get me to let him help out. He now offers me a treat. He says "mom if you let me help then I will give you a treat. ummm I will make you hot chocolate!" How can I say no? He knows bribes work for me to get him to do things, so they must work on me too! I have to say it did work, it made me laugh and give in, and he did make me hot chocolate later that night. What a sweet kid!

Jogging Stroller

I am so happy i finally i have Double Jogging Stroller! I went and looked on Criag's list and got one for $50! I've used it a couple times already and I love it! It's a BeBeLove USA Evolution DS! The previous owner barely used it so it's like new...i'm so so happy about this!

Carson's Baby Blessing

Carson was blessed on Sunday and it was so wonderful because my two older sister were able to come! This was the first time anyone from my family was able to attend a baby blessing for one of my children. Carson wore Landon's blessing outfit...when Landon wore that outfit it swallowed him, but of course since Carson is such a chuck I could barely snap the snaps around his chunky thighs! He looked absolutely adorable in my opinion. :D I love baby blessings I love to hear how special each baby is and how much our Heavenly Father loves them. It was a good blessing and Carson didn't even give a peep he slept the whole time. I love Carson so much I am so blessed to have him in my life. :)

Tragedy

Sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake you up and make you realize what we take for granted. Recently there has been a tragedy that has occurred to a family close to me and Bret and his family. It has been absolutely heart breaking to watch, the family is doing the best they can considering the situation. The worst part has been to see how it has effected the 16 year old child in the family. I just pray some good comes from this and the family will be comforted. Through all of this it has made me appreciate my family so much more. I am thankful they are all still here on this earth. I love husband and he loves me, even thought we both have faults we can forgive each other and continue to love each other. I am thankful for parents who love each other and for all the love and support they give to me. I am grateful for a having close relationships with my sisters and brothers. Knowing they are there for me when I need them and being able to lean on them and they can lean on me because we love each other. I am also grateful for the gospel and the knowledge, peace, and comfort is gives to me. Also for Jesus Christ and the atonement he made for me, and the knowledge that he knows who I am, what I am going through, and the love he has for me.

Loving to Cook

So while my mom was here she bought me new cookware since mine was horrible. All the non-stick was peeling off and all the lids were broken! She said i couldn't cook with it anymore, so for an early birthday present she bought me Kitchen Aid cookware! I love it! I love the lids, the color, the new non-stick that isn't peeling off, it is just so great!! YAY for mamas!
Oh and Carson had his 2 week old Dr. appt yesterday and he is doing well, nice and healthy 10 lbs 4 oz. baby! He's gained 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks! I can't believe how big he is, it just cracks me up! I love, love ,love this kid he's so cute and chunky!

Ode to mom

So my mama just left to go back to Utah and i am left to start taking over my motherly duties. I am so sad to see her go, I love her so much and she was such a great help to me! Thank heavens for mothers, i don't know what i would have done with out her this past week. She took care of me and my family so well and i don't know how i am going to manage with out her. I will survive and life will move on but i will miss her so, so much!
