Baby is Finally here!

Ok everyone i finally had Baby Carson! I was supposed to have him on Friday the 26th but we found out the hospital's operating room wasn't open on Friday so they switched the date to Monday the 29th...but i went into labor on Saturday the 27th! So John Carson Mitchell was born 12/26/08 at 7:30 am, weighing 8 lbs 10 oz, and 21 inches long! Yes he is my biggest baby and thank heavens it was a c-section i can't imagine pushing him out...lol The delivery went great no complications. Carson is very healthy and strong and he love love loves to nurse he is always hungry. I think his motto is....If i am awake then i need to be eating! He nurses about every 1 1/2 to 2 hours for at least 10-15 min on each side so i feel like i am always nursing him...lol I am feeling good, i'm a sore but it's bareable and my mom will be here on Thursday to take care of me! Thanks heavens for my mama i don't know what i would do with out her. I get to have her all to myself for a full week I am so excited! I will post pics of the baby later today, Bret has the camera and he's at work so when he comes home i'll post the pics!

Scheduled

I went to the Doctor today and he finally scheduled the c-section! I can't believe this pregnancy is actually coming to an end, lately i have been feeling like i wouldn't ever actually have this little boy...like i would be preggers forever! But now that i have a date which is Dec.26th i feel like ahhh i am really going to be done and soon! It's only 2 1/2 weeks away, which feels due able....lol compared to 4 weeks which is my actual due date and that sounds horrible...lol I am so excited to be done being preggers and get this little kid here! yay only 2 1/2 weeks!!!

Poor Bret

Since I'm pregnant and in the 3rd trimester I find myself being very moody. So poor Bret is the one that I'm moody towards. I minute he is the best husband ever then the next I'm so mad at him over the littlest things. Like last night when we got home from picking our car up from being serviced I immediately go to the kitchen and start to finish dinner up so we can eat. Meanwhile Audrey is being way too quiet so I ask Bret if he can go check and see where she is and what she is doing. His response is "I just sat down." he said it very nicely and he wasn't saying he wouldn't do it he was just thinking out loud, but i immediately come to the conclusion that he won't look for her and i have to stop what i'm doing to go see what messes Audrey is making and i'm all in a huff about it! Of course he went and found her, but I still stay mad until after we are done eating dinner, and Bret has no idea why I'm mad...lol I explain why i'm mad and he is like but i went and found her, but i say it was your comment "but i just sat down" that made me upset like he can just sit down and i still have to continue being mom and he can just relax! But then I realize i'm over reacting and he didn't mean it the way i took it, and he did go get her. so why was I mad? because i jump to conclusions, and i feel like i can't control my emotions! After we talked I agian realize he is the best husband for me and i love him to death! But this kind of stuff seems to happen all the time lately...so poor Bret.

Chucky Cheese!

Yesterday was the big day Landon and Audrey got to go to Chucky Cheese for the first time!!! We promised Landon we would go to Chucky Cheese for his birthday so he's talking about for months now. I think it was everything he expected it would be they both had a ton of fun, they loved every minute we were there, Bret and I had a fun too. The only thing Landon was a little bit disappointed about was that Chucky was a robot not a real mouse...lol but he still went over and made sure he said hi to Chucky the robot. Last time I went to a Chucky Cheese they had someone dress up as Chucky walk around and talk to the kids I guess they don't do that here in little old Hemet. I think it would have made a little boy very happy if they would have done that....oh well....Landon still loved it!

Here is Bret and his brother Brock playing the basketball game they must have played it like 10 times because they are both so competitive I think Brock beat Bret more than Bret beat Brock...oh brotherly love.

Birthday

It was Audrey's birthday on Halloween and Landon's on Sunday we had a family party yesterday at my in-law's house. Landon was happy all day because it was his BIRTHDAY so everything we did we said it was for his birthday for example... It's your birthday water! or birthday pancakes, birthday shower! he thought he was so cool all day it was really cute. Here are a few pics of the kids opening their presents. It was a great weekend the kids had a lot of fun!

I went to the Doctor today for my monthly appt. It took forever to see the doctor i waited for over a hour, but besides that it went well, these appt keep me going. I get to have an ultra sound each time i go so i lay there and get to see my baby for 10 min. this time we could see how chubby his little face is. His little hand was up next to his face and he was curled up in a cute little ball. Every time he moved i could see it and feel it. It always makes me laugh when the doctor checks to make sure he is a boy, because his little pee pee is so prominent you can't mistake it for anything but a little boy pee pee. It makes me smile to see him making sucking motions with his mouth. I know I'm pregnant for a reason, that there is a baby actually in there that I'm not just getting huge for no reason. I already love this baby so much, I just hope these next 9 weeks go fast.

Lately

I have started babysitting for my friend Jackie. Her previous babysitter moved out of town so Jackie needed a new one, so i agreed to babysit until I have the baby. It is a lot of work, her kids and mine are all about the same age. Landon almost 4, Audrey almost 2, then Jackie's kids Lauren 2 1/2, and Trever 1 1/2. With four toddlers around it can get pretty crazy around here. Audrey likes to Bully Trever and Trever isn't used to being bullied so he doesn't take it very well. At times every one is crying...lol But I'm only doing it for 2 1/2 months and it gives me a little extra cash which is good because i need to buy a few things for the baby and it will be nice to have for Christmas. Monday's and Friday's are the hardest because those are the days Landon doesn't go to pre-school he is like the ring leader, everything he does everyone does to so if Landon is being naughty everyone is being naughty with him, plus side though if he is being good then everyone is being good. But i figure this will make taking care of two toddlers and a newborn seem like a breeze, compared to four toddlers...that's my theory anyway. :D

Sick

I am sick! At first it felt like allergies but today it feels like a horrible cold! I hate having to function when I'm feeling so sick good thing it is Friday tomorrow i don't babysit so I can sleep in and get pampered all day but my wonderful hubby.

Sleep

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep? I do all the time it's driving me crazy, i just toss and turn for usually about 2 hours. I found i can't sleep on my back any more even though that's the position i long for. i'm so tired in the morning i can barely function and that carries through out the day too bad i can't drink coffee! lol

Anxious

Anyone that knows me knows I haven't really liked being pregnant this time around. One of the major reasons for this is because i wanted to get into amazing shape like Robin Huff shape for anyone that knows her...she is a friend in my ward for those of you who don't know her. Then the news came I found out I was pregnant and know not only will have I still have the rest of the Audrey weight to lose I will have the Carson weight too! sound pretty discouraging to me but I guess that is life huh. I'm watching my body and stomach get bigger and Bigger I'm so dreading the aftermath of this pregnancy. especially knowing I will be nursing and it was so hard for me to lose weight when I was nursing Audrey, and i so hope that will not be the case this time around! But at least i will have a new little baby to hold he is the only thing getting me through this pregnancy. Just 3 more months to go...please go by fast...please!

birthday party

Today Landon and I went to Landon's friend Savanna's birthday party. It was so fun and cute i should have brought my camera to take pics but didn't even think about it! They had snow cones, a face painter/clown, hot dogs, they decorated their own cupcakes. just a ton of fun! Landon wanted his face painted like spiderman it was really cute. BUT he didn't like people calling him spiderman because his name is Landon NOT spiderman. He told me "mom I'm done being spiderman can i wash my face?" i told him he had to wait until we got home so that Bret could see it. So as soon as he came home and was done showing Bret he ran into the bathroom and washed all the face paint off, and came back and said to me "mom I'm Landon again!" that kid is so funny. lol

OK I did it, I added photos! The family pictures were taken back at the beginning of May the day before my sister-in law Britlyn got married to her husband John. And since we were taking the pics on the beach in San Diego my hair went from being flat ironed straight to frizzy immediately! By the end of the day my hair was all curly...lol I guess i should have thought about that in advance all that work for nothing...oh well. As you guessed the wedding and reception pictures are from Britlyn and John's wedding it was a good day except for the fact that Audrey cried the entire time we were taking pictures at the temple and at the luncheon. At least it was a cool breezy day or I would have been totally stressed and sweating! Luckily the reception was back at my in-laws house so she slept for the whole thing which was so nice for me. The pictures of Landon and Audrey were taken at Bret's parents house just a couple of days ago. I forgot to bring Landon's swimming suit so he got to swim in his underwear he thought it was so cool!...lol I love the pic of Audrey and Bret it's so cute. :D

I was looking at my blog and I've decided i need more pics of the kids and of Bret and I. So I promise I will put up new pics very very soon! I don't really want any new pics taken of me since I am at the acquired pregnancy stage when you're just starting to show, so you just look like you've gained 15 pounds! But maybe Bret can just angle the camera right so that i look more pregnant than fat. Anyway new pics on the way.

Busy week

Now that I'm feeling good I can't stand to be at home all day. It's funny how I went from not wanting to ever leave the house to feeling like I have to get out every day! This week I've been making myself busy. I started by going to Costco and the mall, then we went to the distribution center and the LDS book store, and today we went to the mall again and Toys R Us. Now remember everything is at least a hour to a hour and half to drive so it takes my day. Audrey got some cute comfy shoes that I think she will actually wear instead of riping them off as soon as she put them on. (fingers crossed) She also got a baby stroller which she is in love with, it's so cute to see her act like a little mama.

Landon got his first Book of Mormon and scripture case which he has been asking for, for weeks now. I guess it's the cool thing to bring to church. :D He also got a big tub of Lego's that were on sale at Toys R US. It's nice to have a little bit of money to get things for the kids.

While we were at Toys R US Landon made a friend he calls his other little sister. They were sitting in the cars pretend driving together. It was really cute at one point the 3 year old little girl said to Landon "hey do you want to listen to Journey? Ya lets listen to Journey." I asked her mom if she listens to Journey she said no but he husband loves it. I thought it was so funny that the little girl knew she Dad's favorite band. Such cute things that little kids remember and say.

Car Ride

On the way home from swimming at the Mitchell's Landon wouldn't share his treats with Audrey she was asking so nicely but he was saying no theses are mine. After several times of me telling him to share with his sister he finally did. After sharing he says to me "Mom you are turning into a baby. I am big now, I'm even tall enough to drive. Just you wait I will be driving soon and you will be the baby." I guess he wants to drive and boss me around...lol I thought it was pretty funny.

I went out with the girls last night for a very needed girls night out. We saw Mamma Mia..I loved it! I totally recommend it, if you are in the mood for a feel good movie and if you like Abba songs. :D After the movie we went and got ice cream at the local Rite Aid. Have you had the Rite Aid ice cream? I never even knew Rite Aid had a Little ice cream parlor until just recently, it's pretty good, and cheap ice cream go check it out.

First Doctors Appt

I went to the doctor yesterday, which I have to admit even now I still get so nervous about going. I have to tell myself to breath and that everything will be alright while I wait for my name to be called. Knowing what I am going to have to experience once my name is called is not very pleasant in my opinion. I'm going to find out how much I weigh which every girl always dreads especially when they know that they are gaining weight! I also know I'm going to have to pee in a cup but I am proud to say that I've almost mastered that art...lol After the bathroom experience I get to go into room #2 where I wait to meet my new doctor who is an older Asian man with an accent i can barely understand, but he is very nice. The first appt isn't very pleasant after meeting the doctor if you know what I mean but i won't go into the details, let just skip to the one thing that I always love. I was very happy to see the ultrasound machine, Yay for technology! I got to see my baby for the first time. It is always so sweet to see the baby moving and knowing there is a baby there, and I'm not just sick, sick, sick for no reason. We did find out what the sex of the baby is and we are having another....drum roll.... BOY!! His name will be either John Carson or Carson John which way sounds better?? Bret and I can't make up our mind about it. I will post some of the ultrasound pictures when I can get them scanned into the computer.

Life

Some people have been asking me what has been going on in my life. I am pleased to say Nothing!!..lol jk I have been enjoying being back here in Southern California a place where i have grown to love and call home.

The kids are doing very good, it was a hard transition moving from Dallas to here. We had to shack up with my in-laws for the first month and a half which proved to be very difficult. I found out I was pregnant within a week of moving here and then a week later I was sick as a dog! So....to keep the kids out of everything, feed them, and playing with them between throwing up was horrible...lol I can laugh about it now but while it was happening I was pretty much crying everyday. Luckily Bret worked from home so he was able to help me when I really needed it. Now we are in the our own apartment which had been so much nicer/easier, except for the flood that happened in our bedroom/bathroom wall about a month ago. We are still having to sleep in our living room with the mattress on the floor. The smells were so terrible we couldn't even shower in our bathroom for at least 2 weeks after it happened. Now the bathroom is fixed and all is well in there, but the bedroom still smells like mold so I choose to sleep in the living room.

Enough with the bad which has to make me laugh..lol We have been enjoying swimming at our in-laws house pretty much every day, we are all tan and the kids have the same color of skin as me which I think is so adorable. Well Bret isn't tan but he doesn't swim as much as me and the kids and when he does swim he always where's a shirt. :D Since moving here Bret has been able to make a little bit more money than he was making so we haven't had to eat rice and beans every night, we have graduated to rice and gravy. ;) No we have been able to eat out a little bit more often so I don't have to cook every single night. BUT we still do eat rice and beans quite often I have grown to love and crave them since being pregnant. Actually i can't stand the smell of meat cooking, i love the smell of beans cooking there is something comforting about it...i know I'm weird. I am very lucky to have a husband that will eat everything i fix so he lets me do whatever I want as long as it's not pb and J's. :) I guess a little more than nothing has been happening since we moved.

A lot has been happening lately my sister-in-law just got married! The sealing was wonderful i had to stop myself from crying. Landon is loving it here in California but Audrey is having a hard time adjusting which is a little bit stressful, but we will survive. All is well and moving forward as hard as things can be at times, time will always move forward.

Hi all

I'm totally new to blogging, I've done myspace but i felt all left out when people were talking about blogging so i decided to join in on the fun!
Some things you guys might like to know about what is going on right now with us Mitchell's. We have been living here in TX for the last 9 months. I won't lie and say I love it here, it has taken a lot of time to get used to living here. The weather is crazy, goes from being cold to hot in day, and it's muggy and it rains every week. I'm used to Southern CA weather where it's just hot, dry, and sunny. :D I have made some wonderful friends which I am so grateful for, they will be friends for life. I have grown and learned a lot since moving here and had experiences i know that i wouldn't have had anywhere else. I am so grateful for the opportunity to come here.
I am going to Utah this weekend I am so excited! It will be so fun to see my family and friends some of which i haven't seen in over a year. That is about that i can talk about atm. I hope some interesting things happen to me so i write some more!
